ABOUT US

Independent Dentists of America (www.IndependentDentistsofAmerica.org) is solely owned, operated and staffed by professionals in the health care arena for over 40+years.

We are not Dentists. Instead, we have been engaged over the years in consulting with, and managing of, many health-related industries – with a heavy focus on Dental facilities.

Our purpose is to simply inform, educate and make additional choices available through a public service forum/website for oral health and long-term wellness by providing access to high quality Dental care based upon our 40+years in the health and Dental-care arena.

Though we believe there are multiple paths to quality Dental Treatment and its attending oral health, we also believe that Dental treatment is NOT equal – and that what works well for some - will not work for everyone, everywhere all of the time. This is why we believe it is important to have the information available when it comes to receiving quality Dental care and its attending treatments.

Over these many years, and personally conducting thousands of Dental office surveys, we believe we have a highly unique and qualifying understanding into the study of Dental care. From this study we found that:

  • Each Dental discipline is viable in its own way—thus its continued existence (not counting those that have gone out of business due to failed business practices and policies).
  • The viability of each dental process is dependent upon the skill of the one administrating the process—as well as the receptiveness and attitude of the one receiving it.
  • Every Dental discipline has practitioners who are driven by different motivations in regard to his/her own practice (which may, or may not be focused on the best care for his/her own patients).

In essence, we discovered that among each discipline were practitioners who were loving, caring, skilled and have the patients’ best interest at heart—and there were those who were “stuffy”, egotistical, money-driven and simply “running patients through a mill”.

Overall however, our study showed us that generally speaking, Dentistry offers a highly versatile scope of health and wellness, literally from the “neck up”, taking into consideration not only teeth work, but TMJ/TMD, Sleep Apnea and many other specialty treatment options for which they are ultimately well-suited to perform/provide.

For example, a Dentist is generally more open and willing to offer non-surgical treatment options (for example; sleep apnea and TMJ) for their patients as needed – while being much more willing to refer a patient to a medical facility for diagnosis and treatment if/as the scope of treatment suggests such.

Additionally, no other discipline is licensed to provide Dentistry treatment. This was an important factor in choosing Dentistry as the focus for our site. What this means is that generally speaking, Doctors of Dentistry are able to offer and provide a viable health and wellness discipline that no other discipline is trained in, or able to provide—while at the same time being willing to make available many other health disciplines to a patient if/as need be.

We invite you to do your own research in this regard. We have already researched the industry. We have already personally talked with, and profiled each facility and Dentist/Owner in our database to help you in your search.

Please feel free to use the Dentist Locator to identify a Doctor of Dentistry in your area that has already been pre-screened to Independent Dentists of America’s standard of excellence.

And thank you for visiting our site.
